International School of Geospatial Health

Under the auspices of the GnosisGIS Global Network on Geospatial Health, basic and advanced level GIS courses will be offered an a regularly scheduled basis at fixed sites where well equipped GIS laboratories are available on each continent. Additional 'portable' courses can be scheduled at nearly any location, for example as satellite course offerings of 3-4 days duration at scientific meetings. Together these represent a 'virtual campus' offering GIS courses to those interested in health applications of the geospatial sciences. Course content has been developed and sanctioned by the GnosisGIS short courses sub-committee. There are currently 5 permanent locations that have or are planning to offer courses regularly. Off-site courses can be scheduled by special arrangement. A standard course manual and GIS resource data CDROM's are provided.
